Beach Weddings

Posted 4 years ago by Laura Mitchell in ,

As we approach the end of the month, we can expect to longer sunnier days with warmer temperatures. Knowing that summer doesn’t disappoint on the weather front, means you can take great liberties in celebrating the wedding outdoors. Beaches are a choice venue for lavish exotic weddings.

Beach weddings conjure up romantic notions of wind-tossed hair, fantastical sublimity and nature’s tranquil sights and sounds.  The openness of a beach setting allows for a large number of guests to spread across without cluttering the space. Combining a beach’s natural beauty with the soothing sounds of waves lightly crashing against the shore, creates a peacefully romantic atmosphere for you and your guests to relax and celebrate.  You can choose to hold the ceremony and the reception on the sandy shores, or you may want to wed in a beautiful chapel or view point close to the beach.  It goes without saying that the infinite waters will make a stunning backdrop to your wedding and will fill your photo albums with stunning shots of your big day.

When thinking of ideas for the decor, treat the beach as a blank canvas in which to build an extravagant or simple natural setting.  It will be beautiful either way!  You can go for decor that compliments the season, with bright pops of colour to enhance the natural energy in the air, or you might make it an aquatic affair with all things ‘sea’, or you can opt for a stylishly neutral pallet, adding a touch of class to the earthy feel.

When the sun has set behind the ocean you can decorate the tables and walk ways with with trails of candles and fairy lights.  This will create a fantastical magical evening.  A beach wedding is many peoples idea of a dream wedding and for good reason; the natural beauty and harmonious atmosphere of the beach will make your day really special!
